1. We still haven’t found the origin of the smell. Starting to panic. I mopped and disinfected every non-porous (and some not-so-non-porous) surface today, and yet a phantom scent lingers…
2. There is a fox caught in our fully fenced yard. He spent part of the day sunning on our deck and the larger part wedged beneath it, just beyond where Dudley could get him. I called the DNR and County Animal Control and they told me that they couldn’t remove him from our property unless I trapped him first. Thanks. Oh, and their best advice was, “Just leave the gate open until he decides to leave.” Yeah. Or until his girlfriend decides to move in, too.
3. Kenny has started quoting random passages from the Veggie Tales movie Jonah. He watched it in the car both ways to New York and back and spent the better part of his waking hours today working the words “Nineveh,” “fish slap” and “Mr. Twisty” into his conversation.
4. Cooper threw not his first temper tantrum today because I wouldnt’ let him play with a tomato.
5. If a fox found his way into our yard through the fence, could he then find a way to get into our house through the dog door?

You may have black mold somewhere in or under your house. I would get your husband to check under the house to make sure that you don’t have puddles of water or mold growing there. Our back door neighbor had a similar problem a couple of years ago. I hope you find the problem!
I would seal up that dog door until the fox is gone! Both of my kids had their first tantrum shortly after turning one. They have not had many since, thank goodness!
I wonder if Dudley left a surprise for you under the couch?
we had a mysterious smell in our old audi wagon…something quite awful – finally discovered raw (rancid) chicken in the spare wheel from hubby’s trip to the grocery store a month before. It was so bad, we had to sell the car.
Mystery smells…oh boy. Those can be troublesome.
I saw a video this week and wanted to share it with everyone! It’s actually a pretty revealing and interesting interview with CNN’s Campbell Brown about her crazy life as a working mother. Oh, to be a TV anchorwoman…
There’s actually some really personal and funny stuff in here too. Hope everyone will enjoy!

We recently had this happen – – it was a bag of rotten potatoes that I forgot about in the top of the pantry. Gross. Hope you find the culprit soon.
The same thing happened to me about a year ago when I came back from the hospital with my new born child, I came back to a house that had a strange odor and it kept getting worse, the smell came from the laundry room, my husband kept looking for it but couldn’t find the origin until finally we called a wildlife and animal removal specialist and he found the origin of the smell pretty darn fast. It was coming from the laundry room and it was a dead opossum! Nightmare I tell you with a new born child I wanted to sell the house! The smell lingered for a good couple of months, it wasn’t strong at all but I could still smell a bit. If it gets worse you may want to call an expert on this.
